15th September 2007 - Launch of Nigeria Community in Walthamforest
At a well attended gathering of councillors, MP's Mayor both past and present and the Nigerian High Commissioner Dozie Nwanna and members of the Nigerian community in Waltham Forest and UK, Cllr. Anna Mbachu and Cllr. Chris Robbins helped to launch the new 'Nigerian Community in Waltham Forest' (NICOWF) organisation. The organisation's objectives are to continue to help in health, education and language. These organisation has already provided support for young people sitting their GCSE and has also been instrumental in providing advice on health issues such as sickle cell, Aids, Cancer and drug dependency. I spoke at the launch wishing the organisation a healthy future.
