On the 3rd September 2006 was a festival specifically dedicated to God Katpaka Vinayagar.
God katpaka Vinayagar is one of the Hindu Gods worshipped by Hindus all over the world. Hinduism is an ancient religion dating back to the Mohandejaro-Harappa civilization in India dating back to 7-8 century BC. God or Lord Vinayagar has many names or prefixes attached to it and 'Katpaka' is one. Katpaka means giver of everything asked. Vinayagar is a son of the Supreme god Shiva one of the Tri-moorthi or the Trident Gods in Hindu Mythology: Lord Bramaha-the creator Lord Vishnu-the protector and Lord Shive-the destroyer.
There is only one temple in the London Borough of Waltham Forest dedicated to God Vinayagar.
