9th April 2007 - Mercy Motherless Babies home
I visited Mercy Motherless Babies home in April 2007. This home is an orphanage set up in 1962, for homeless and motherless babies. Mercy's Home is for babies whose mother died at childbirth, they also bring up motherless babies until their fathers can conveniently take care of them. The home has rendered this service of mercy to courtless families but now has some serious problems:
1. Erosion has seriously damaged the entrance to the home, making it difficult and sometimes impossible to drive into the place.
2. Electric Plant - money is needed to repair and maintain it
3. Vehicle - their bus is very old and no longer serves us. A new one is needed Meanwhile we need money to repair the present one until we can get a new one.
4. The toilet facilities need much repairs.
5. Provision of furniture (Beds, Seats, Tables and Cupboards)
6.Their fence is low and needs raising up and some open places need to be closed to keep off intruders.
Please help them in providing help for any of these needs
Further information on how to make donations, will be posted soon.
