Rememberance day procession from Coronation Gardens (Leyton) to St. Mary's Church (Leyton). A mass was held for the soldiers that fought for their country. I laid the wreath onbehalf of the Labour Party. |

23rd April 2008 - A Dinner Visit
The Hon MP for Leyton & Wanstead Harry Cohen hosted us to an evening of dinner and tour of both the House of Commons and Lords. In attendance were Thandi, Crystal, Dozie, Cllr. Anna Mbachu and the host. It was an evening filled with interesting discussions and fun activities.

21st April 2008 - Welcoming of the New Nigerian High Commissioner
Federal Government of Nigeria appointed a new High Commission in person of His Excellency Dr. Tafida. I was invited to his first dinner speech which took place on the 21st of April 2008 at the Nigeria High Commission, Nigerian House, Northumberland Avenue. In attendance wereVIPs and top Nigerian dignitaries.

22nd May 2008 - Mayoral Appointment
On the 6th of May 2008 I was elected by my fellow councillors to be the Deputy Mayor for London Borough of Waltham Forest 2008 to 2009. This election received the formal endorsement at the Annual Council Meeting which took place on the 22nd of May 2008. It is an honour to be elected by my fellow councillors and to get the endorsement of the whole council and I pledge to serve the borough honourably. My chosen consorts are Dozie Ogbuebile and Crystal Chibuogu Ihenachor. My families, friends, colleagues and well wishers including my country of origins’ Deputy Ambassador (Hon Dozie Nwanna & his Wife) were in attendance.
